Audrey SunFounder and Managing Director Born in China in the province of Liaoning. From a population of 350 million, Audrey was privileged to be one of only 500 special students to be chosen to study a bachelor degree in the Medicine and English at the prestigious Medical University in China. Audrey graduated with distinction and had a number of different roles: as a surgeon; an associate professor of medicine; a business manager and business venture partner. In each role Audrey has gained valuable experience and built a very wide circle of trusted relationships in business and the wider community in China. During this time, Audrey created a vision to establish and develop links between China and English speaking countries. Audrey completed a Commerce and Economics master degree at UNSW. After graduation, she was involved in several key management positions with Australian manufactures and distributors. Her responsibilities included: head of new product development; manager export market development; head of purchasing, importing and exporting. Recognizing the critical importance of controlling purchasing costs, enabling Australian businesses to grow and to be competitive internationally. In 2006 Audrey established her own business – China Manufacturing. CM’s mission is to provide high quality cost effective contract manufacturing and product sourcing services in China for Australian manufacturers and distributors. Audrey’s first-hand experience and understanding of both markets together with her resources, processes and relationships in China enable China Manufacturing Development to provide the highest quality and the most competitive prices while still providing a reliable service. Audrey easily solves the common issues of quality and late delivery by using her native Chinese language skills and her deep understanding and sensitivity to the cultural difference between China and Australia. Only a native born Chinese with 10 years experience in Australia can effectively preempt and proactively solve the logistical and quality problems before they occur. |

John BealeBusiness Development Director John has more than 25 years experience as a company director, CEO, CFO and as a senior executive with strategic and operational responsibilities with Australian-owned and multinational organisations and as principal in his own business advisory firm. Prior to joining China Manufacturing, John was principal of Conklin Investments Pty Ltd, a business he established to focus and develop Australia/China business relationships In the past three years he has been a frequent traveller to China: as an importer; as an exporter; and as a business advisor. In 2006 John was awarded the inaugural Australia China Business Council scholarship which included a business/cultural study trip to China. John is a member of the Australia China Business Council (NSW); Vice President of the Confectionery Manufacturers Association (NSW ); on the management board of Sydney PEN, a NPO promoting Freedom of Speech and Freedom to Write. John was a non-executive director of UNSW Press from 2001 to 2007. John holds qualifications in management, finance and accounting. He has been a guest lecturer in the MBA program at Macquarie University, at UTS (in international marketing) and a tutor in business with Deakin Australia, the commercial arm of Deakin University. |
